There Was Almost A Lizzie McGuire Spinoff
Lizzie McGuire was such a big hit that Disney wanted to expand it. They were going to make more movies and more spin-off television shows - you know, do the typical Disney thing. There was even supposed to be a prime time television series on ABC about Lizzie, Miranda and Gordo attending high school. It never happened because of contractual disagreements on Hilary Duff's end. That actually makes me really bummed out. I would have loved to watch that!
Ethan Craft Was Almost A Really Different Character
You know how Ethan Craft is the heartthrob of the show, the popular guy every girl wants to be with (especially Lizzie)? Even though he's a total doof? Well, he was originally supposed to be the bully of the school. We all know he's much better suited as the lovable goof.

In The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Hilary Duff plays both Lizzie and Isabella. Isabella is a famous pop star who obviously sings. Even though Hilary really does sing in real life, the character's singing voice is actually from Haylie Duff, Hilary's sister. SO weird.
